Base Modern Hair Studio opened in May 2018. Owners Brandon Frost and Gina Liangos wanted to create an upscale and stylish salon for the downriver community. Base has a talented team of independent stylists that specialize in modern hair techniques from cut and color, to balayage and extensions.

Products

We are proud to use Moroccanoil and Amika haircare products. All Moroccanoil products are oil-infused, offering a unique approach to hair care and styling for every hair type and need. Amika products are vegetarian-friendly, cruelty-free and free from sulfates, MIT, MCI, Phthalates and artificial colors. All of these high-performing, professional products are also available for sale in the studio.

Appointments and Policies

  • All appointments are made directly with the stylist. Please contact them by cell phone to arrange a day and time that works best for you.

  • As a courtesy to your stylist, please provide a 24 hour notice when cancelling an appointment.

  • In an effort to respect the time of your stylist and other guests, please be on time for your appointment. Late arrival may result in an adjustment to your service to avoid running late for the next guest. To avoid additional stress for our stylists or risk a compromised experience for another guest, your stylist may elect to reschedule an appointment running 15 minutes late or more.

  • Repeated No Shows will be charged $25 for missed appointments. Any future appointments must be paid in full before being reserved.

  • We are 100% committed to providing the best possible salon experience for our guests. Our stylists welcome the opportunity to adjust your service so that you are completely satisfied. Any concerns can be corrected by your stylist, or if you feel more comfortable with a different stylist, we want you to feel safe to be honest and communicate with us.

Payment

For your convenience, our stylists accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, debit, cash, and personal checks with proper identification. All credit and debit card payments will be made directly to your stylist using the Square point of sale system. Gratuities are at the discretion of the client and are greatly appreciated. Gratuity can be added at the time of check out for credit and debit card payments.
